The origami flower fever hasn't slowed down! Right around Easter I decided to make myself a flower crown out of the paper ribbon roses I've been making. At the end of April I'll be attending a grown-up "prom" dinner dance, and I needed something new to accent my old prom dress. Well, this idea just catapulted after I was so happy with the results of my first crown. I've been having a ton of fun playing with different flowers, and I even added another rose model to my repertoire. It's a simple origami twist rose, and I wish I had started using it sooner! I even started doing the obvious thing and making the new roses out of comic books, and creating comic book flower crowns. Wouldn't these be perfect to wear at a comic con? I'm not a person who has the guts to full-on cosplay, so something like this is more my speed :) Really, any of these would be cute at any summer festival or event. What do you think? If interested, I just made 3 comic book flower crowns available on my Etsy shop. Get them while you can!

Origami is a skill that I wish to obtain one day. I have always been good with my hands, in fact, arts and crafts is my favorite subject growing up. I did not have any opportunity to do Origami, however, I do hope that I can start soon. I am not getting younger, and I would like to add this to my skill before I fade. I want to make Origami animals for my children and grandchildren, that is what I want to do.
